I just picked up a Parker No. A. I havn't found any post about them. Does anyone have one and know the age? I seen it in a 1912 catalogue but thats about it.

Here is my Charles Parker No. A vise. It is one of the oldest vises I own. The only date on it is 1867 that appears on the retaining collar. Don't misplace the screw that holds the retaining collar in place. It is an uncommon thread (at least on mine it is).

Does anyone know what size and pitch the set screw is? Looks like a 1/4 24

Might be a 12-24, if Maui says it’s uncommon.
