Is this a Parker? What’s with the big collar? The whole thing swivels? Valuable ? Sadly someone was grabbing it before me

I think that is a parker. They used the "semi-steel" marking on their vises. it's what's referred to as a double swivler. it swivels in two directions. I hate to break the news since you missed out on it, ya it's pretty valuable. It's impossible to put a dollar value on it because it varies by region. I would have broken my arm Ito whip out $95 fast! I'd say that would probably go in the $250-500 range pretty easily. How wide would you say the jaws were?

I figured as much, I haven’t seen that type out in the wild. Chalk it up to another one that got by

We all have similar stories that haunt us for a looooong time.

Many years ago, I hurried over to a Craigslist seller’s house when he advertised a ‘69 Mustang Mach 1 for $1500
I got there just in time to see a guy handing the seller $1500 and receiving the keys and the pink slip.

I know a fellow who picked up a Wilton baby bullet at a garage sale for $5. I wasn’t there to be next to him but WOW! What a deal!
