Cant seem to find a replacement locally, I was wondering if any knew somewhere online I could order this from?

Also I'm pretty sure its called something else, what is the correct name?

It's too bad you don't have a good camera to take a pic of your camera mount with . . .
:lol_hitti

That shot is too blurry to see what you broke.

I guess I'm not being clear enough, its a part for the mount on a video surveillance camera. I don't need a camera part, I need a place that sells those Bolts/ ball-studs /joints or whatever they are called....

I have gone to all the regular places and no one has anything like that...

Machinist can make it, but to make it worth your while, make 50 or 100 and sell the extras on fleabay. Apparently no one make them!

Depending on the size of the ball, it might be worth looking at automotive throttle linkage joints. They use a ball like this with a coupler.

What size is it, some of the R/C cars/trucks use numerious sizes for steering and suspension mounts. They call them Ball Studs.

You could probably silver solder that back together and run a die up across the joint, if the threads needed to be cleaned up.

Or.... looks like a simple project to make new one from scratch, if the old cannot be rehabilitated. Silver solder a ball bearing to a stud..... if that is a keyway or a groove I see, do it first with a file.

How are your manual skills??

This.

I would be tempted to get a bolt of the right thread, put on a couple of nuts and weld it into one piece. Then chuck the bolt into a drill and use a flat mill file on it to turn it down to the size and shape.

But if I could get it premade readily, that would be easier, just not as fun. :)

Chris,
How about calling the manufacturer of the mount ???? I bet they have the parts sitting there ready to ship to you. That would have been my first call.
