I got them. they are good for what they are. They are reversible in the sense that you just flip them over. Finish was pretty nice. Coo was china on mine. For the price I couldn't turn them down. I'm just a weekend warrior so they do me fine.

If those are the same that come in the 309 piece set, and I think they are, they work just fine. Really the only same style ratchet wrenches I have that I like better are a set of Armstrong's I picked up cheap on ebay.

I bought those maybe a year or so ago for the same price, can't complain!

I've replaced the metrics with flex heads, working on doing the same with the standards.

Another satisfied owner here.
Mine are Made in China as well. Actually, they're the only Chineses Craftsman tools I own, and I probably would've never noticed if I hadn't looked at the label.:dunno:

Gear Wrench isn't Craftsman.

Oh, good call.

I clicked on the link and looked at the picture. Being Sears, I assumed it was the Craftsmans I have (they're identical, and may be manufactured by the same Co.). I forgot Sears.com is run like Amazon nowadays.

I do like my Gearwrench 84T 3/8 ratchet.:lol_hitti

I have the set of standards and metrics made in USA. I received them for Christmas back in 2005. Been great for the DYI'er. Pray i never break one.

The switch for on/off is nice to have.

If you are looking for the Gearwrench X-Beam, Sears had the XL X-Beam 7-piece sets on clearance a while back from $79.99 to $39.97 and I picked up a few sets (metric and SAE) as potential Christmas gifts that I have laying around. Give Sears a go, but if you can't find any I'd be willing to get rid of mine.

But yeah, these are Gearwrench and not Craftsman. Used to be a big difference (USA Craftsman vs China/Taiwan Gearwrench) but now I am not sure.

Was looking for an item to take it over $50 to use $5 off and let the deal slip away. Anybody know how often this goes back to sub $60?

WAIT!!!

That set goes down to $50 in November ahead of Black Friday, for past two years now. Local store always carries a bunch of them, and you can also buy online.

There's a good chance they'll drop in price again this year.

In Nov 2011 they were $55.

they go down to like 69.99, then 59.99 then 49.99 sometimes under hot buys catergory too when theres a big sears sales event.
