I used a water based degreaser in my "Grizzly" branded parts washer. The paint on the inside of the tub came off in sheets... Clogged up the pump.

If you do a search on here you'll find that others have had similar experiences using water based solutions.

How "foamy" does the SG get when running the pump ?
Do you dilute the solution ?

It's not to bad. I don't run the pump that much though. Usually just drop the parts in for an hour or so to soak and run the pump enough to knock the junk off. Never had it foam. :thumbup:

I think it might differ depending on where you live. I've seen lots of posts by those living in the rust belt saying water based solutions rust out the washers too fast. But those in a more arid environment are happy with simple green

I paid $44 at Lowes for a 5gal. can and the mineral spirits was even higher! According to my buddy and I forget which one he said but to save on cost add water since one or the other sinks. Hopefully its the water then the heavy grime could be drained.
