Hi,
I have a parts washer that uses a water based solution. Parts washer is in a large unheated shed which presents a freeze problem. Thoughts were to get one of those electrical tubes used for gutters in the North. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Leaky

Just about any electrical supply house would have it. How about a block heater? Runs off 12 volts...

Lowes, home depot, menards just ask for heat wrap for waterlines that's what I used. Cheap and uses just enough heat to do what I needed but not enough that kept me awake in bed at night wondering if I was going to wake up to ashes. One thing to remember in this type of situation anything you may piece together on your own just be careful in the small case you was to have a fire you don't want to have to explain to the insurance that it was something you made or was not for intended purpose. Family is in insurance so always get these questions or scenarios thrown at me during dinner. Jeremy

That's your best bet for keeping it unfrozen. There's also a build on here where a guy took a hot water heating element and turned is parts washer into a heated one. This may be better cause it will help thaw out the lines aswell.

That would be me. :hellobye:

Heating the cleaning fluid has made a vast improvement in both cleaning ability and comfort using the PW.

But. If all the OP want to do is keep it unfrozen the stock tank heater will do the job.
