Hello everyone, I'm looking to purchase a smaller parts washer 3-5 gallon. I like Safty Kleen's model 14 with container under parts washer. I know the are made of thin wall steel but how about plastic polymer materials similar to plastic buckets.

Safety Kleen model 14 is in my opinion the only small parts washer even worth considering. It's one of the only small units rated for a solvent based cleaner (vs water)

Had good luck with the 3 gallon one from Northern.
I like it for being able to take it to the mess, such as cleaning up after failed hub seals on trucks, or for really nasty jobs where I don't want to trash the solvent in my 30 gallon washer.

I checked out several on eBay. Can't seem to locate a Safty Kleen model 14 or similar yet. Still looking.

Well there probably too expensive and I'm told it can only be purchased or leased thru Safety Kleen dealer.

While it's not a small one by any means, I have had a Safety-Kleen tank since 1978.

In that period of tme, I have had to replace the convoluted tube nozzle and the pump and as it turned out, I wouldn't have needed to replace the pump, just change the solvent more frequently-LOL.

Given the longevity, I can certainly vouch for the Safety-Kleen units, but they are hard to find to purchase outright. Mine was a gift from my mother for IIRC my 17th birthday. Both it and I are still going strong!

We have a 30 gal safetykleen unit they are top notch... You will not be diaspointed.... We pre-clean things in a 30 gallon dunk tank filled with our used fluid. Then into the parts washer.
