hi, so i just picked up a new to me "SmartWasher".
the guy told me he wasnt sure what chemical was in it but was most likely simple green. its very dirty so i need to replace it. any recommendations? i'm in CA so that makes it harder.
this is for my home shop so it will only get used a few times a month and only for oily/greasy auto parts.
i was thinking either simple green or purple power. washer is also heated so that helps a ton with cleaning.

thank you

If you are cleaning aluminum doe not use simple Green.

Like the previous post, there are specific chemicals available for this use.

thank you.
that is the chemical the manufacture recommends but wanted to see if there was anything else out first since this one is about 3x the cost of any other chemical. how well does it work? ive never used it before.

LA's Awesome brand de-greaser works well for me (you can get it at the $ Tree, etc, by the half gallon. This product doesn't harm, or discolor, steel, cast iron, aluminum, and plastics in my 7 yrs experience. Yet it works well on de-greasing even the worst stuff.

The smart washers that use the Ozzy juice do okay but they don't dissolve oily grime they get under it and lift it away. It takes a little bit to get used that. Along with the cleaning fluid you'll need the filter under the stainless screen in the bottom of the basin. If the fluid is still removing dirt and grime a filter change and add a little new solution to it would be all I'd do. The one I had, had a heater in it and it had to be on all the time to keep the microbes alive in the solution. The microbes are supposed to absorb all of the oily residue and keep the solution somewhat clear.
