There is a new in the box lithium Paslode nailer on CL that is not priced too bad and has been up for about a month. I don't do a great deal of framing but this tool speaks to at least two of my weaknesses: desire for cordless convenience and general tool hoarding tendencies. Most of the projects I do away from the shop I just take a handful of nails. This tool would let me be lazy and buy another cordless wonder gadget.

I'd like to hear from Paslode owners as to wether this is a good tool to use and then let sit for a month or more at a time or to use to frame parts of a remodel once a week without wasting consumables.

If you are invested in another cordless platform, dewalt, Ryobi, and now Milwaukee are offering cordless nailers.. I have 2 paslodes. A framing and finish. The old ones though with the nicad batteries. They both worked great, and as long as the battery held a charge and you had a fresh gas cartridge they worked fine whenever I needed them. I haven't used either in at least 5 years now, and if I bought a new nicad battery and cartridge I'm sure they would both be fine.

I have a 30° Paslode framing nailer that I bought at a pawn shop. Cleaned and lubed it, added fresh gas cartridge and it works like a champ. I'm not a pro, but I've used it to frame out a pole barn with zero hiccups.

I have a 7 year old Paslode finish nailer with the NiCad battery. I haven't used it since 2011 and just recharged the battery and bought new cartridges several months ago. It worked great and I even cleaned and reoiled the piston/cylinder which I haven't at all since I got it. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I have the finish nailer, really like it, cartridges don't really have a long shelf life, so don't stock up on them if you don't use it a lot.

I have tried several different nailers air and cordless but Paslode has been a top performing nailer without a doubt for me.

I bought the finish nailer kit about 6 or so years ago. Didn't work well...took back to paslode, they serviced it...never did get it to be reliable...been sitting in the garage ever since. Paid 400+ for it.

Someone wanna buy it...make em a good deal...no more paslode for me.
