I've been looking for a long time for a bigger toolbox.

After a long search of new and used Snap-on , Mac and Matco

boxes; I realized a used box fit my needs and wallet better. In

the last month I was able to purchase the following : KR661

rollcab for $800, a Snap-on side cabinet with 3 drawers and 2

2 shelves for $100 , a Matco side cabinet with 2 drawers and 2 shelves

for $50 and a small Mac 4 drawer top chest for $100 . So for the

guys looking to up grade their toolboxes if you have some patience used

tool boxes are an option that can save you a considerable amount of

money.

Excellent deals and the combo it worked out to. Those side cabinets like that are NOT easy to find cheap.

Thanks guys! This forum really helped me land these boxes. I kept checking Craigslist for deals & when I found something I liked i would Google the model # to find more information about it. More often than not that search led me to Garage Journal where you guys were giving valuable opinions about these boxes. Then it was just waiting for the right deal to come up, & luck of course. Owning a collision repair shop I couldn't see spending the money on a new one as they are hard to keep clean. Also it houses all the specialty tools for the shop so all the employees are in it every day & they don't take the care they should. :( Thanks again!!

Great deals to build your great setup! Love the character of it.

Do I spy an Avanti in the background??

Yes that is a 1963 Avanti made by Studebaker. A car ahead of it's time. We do mainly collision work at our shop but once in a while we take on a restoration. This is the 2nd Avanti we have done, both owned by the same guy.

Excellent! If you would, please keep us posted on its progress. :)
