I know this is a garage forum, but most likely all of you have a house to go along with your garage... and with that house, i am guessing some of you have a patio and/or deck-

I have a 12x20 deck off the back of my house but am thinking or putting in some type of paver/ stamped concrete patio as well and just wanted to see what others have and maybe get some ideas.... spring is around the corner :bounce:

post em up!! thanks

I'd post a picture for you but right now everything is so covered with snow it wouldn't do much good.

Here are pictures of the patio we put in this summer. Pavers from Menards. 3 sizes, 3 colors.

We calculated percentages of colors and sizes and only brought the correct number over from the pallets so that the mix would be correct.

We love it.

Couple of great looking decks/patio's. Here's mine. I added the roof and outdoor kitchen last year.

Tone did you design the brick and stone work yourself. If so great job it looks really nice.

I had alot to do with color selection and layout. I did none of the actual work though.

I had a great contractor. This took about 3 months to do.

Thanks for the kind words

Mine's not too fancy yet. I've got a 15x18 (pictured here) then three steps down is a 12x12, then 7 steps down are two 14x14 slabs butted together into a 14x28 patio. Underside of the 15x18 is enclosed as a shed for storing yard stuff.

Put the bench in this summer. I'll stain it in spring. I'm also going to put in stair lighting. I'm kicking around the idea of changing the balusters to a top rail/bottom rail style so I can do something decorative.

Pavers are popular, but weeds eventually grow up between them if you don't keep spraying killer periodically.

We went with acrylic overlay:

These are pics before we bought our place this past fall.

We'll be putting pavers around the pool where the gravel is now and building an outdoor kitchen and arbor where the deck is now.

We've got some updates to do, but the previous owners did a good job with the landscaping other than letting things get over grown. The evergreen covering the deck was indeed covering about 10' X 5' area of the deck, it's now gone.

Will be adding a waterfall to the fish pond.

Will be cutting in some double doors where the double windows are now on the back of the house into the sunroom.

Also plan to add lots of lighting this spring, gets dark out here with no street lights.
