Pawn shop score - Hitachi DH40MR

Popped into a pawn shop earlier in the week to see what could be seen and stumbled onto an immaculate Hitachi rotary hammer. It’s SDS Max, with an Aluminum housing and made in Japan. I’m not sure it’s ever been used. I wanted one of these about 3 tile removal projects ago… the best part is that I got it for $100 OTD. (Stock photo attached)

Nice score. Often overlooked are the front of the store pawn items. While they have value, the real value to the store is what’s behind the counter; the loans that keep giving them money. They are usually very happy to toss out deals on the front end stuff.

Wow nice score, I have that older model for over 15 years, super strong, have break boulders with it no problem. Paid $700 ish for it when new.
