Here's some tools I snagged at a pawn shop over the weekend. Lots of nice little tidbits.

Could use some help with IDing the valve adjustment tool. The only marking is RAP 612.

I think I cleaned my resources out, going to have to give them time to restock.

I picked up this 3/8" SK ratchet today while I was out and about. It was pretty greasy but it cleaned up real nice. Does anyone know the official name for this kind of "direction changing arrangement?"

UPDATE:
I did some more reading on GJ. Seems SK only made these for a short while and they are not highly regarded. Informally known as the SK "Frankenstein" ratchet.

The valve adjustment tool looks similar to one they had for Renaults, when I worked in an AMC dealer. For the Alliance & Encore 1.4L engines.

Bonneyman:
Is the item I enclosed a tape measure?

Why, yes it is! According to my research so far, it is a Lufkin 6 footer. Seems the patent for the mechanism is listed as 1936. I was going to disassemble it and make it shine, but after finding out it might be 80 years old I just cleaned and lubed it from the outside.

Yes, that is what we call a frankenstein ratchet. It uses a sliding pin style of direction control. Here are some internal pics.
