Stopped at the pawn shop today that I frequent regullary to buy a used impact, and found a IR #2132G with no price tag. I asked the guy who owned the store how much he wanted and he said that it was the better of the bunch and said I would say 80-100 so I can let it go for $40. I paid for it right away and took it back to the shop and tested it out. This is the quietest impact I have ever used, the lugs coming off during a tire rotation make more noise then the gun, definetly checking for more steals next week.(Will post pics later)

My pawn shop will give me 24 hours warranty on the air tools; that way I can take it to my brothers shop and check it out. Watch out on air tools, because many times techs will dump their tools that need a rebuild there; I have gotten a number of these but I got them so cheap, I just sent them out for a rebuild.

Sounds like the deal I got yesterday. I found a set of 3/8 drive universal sockets that Consisted of mostly S-K with a wright, a proto and a Armstrong socket in an old SK metal box for $8. I also picked up a short 3/8" SK extension and a Klein big flat blade screwdriver for another $1.

yeah the guy is cool, he sold me a 3/8 and 1/4 astro pneumatic air ratchet set for 60, he had it marked for 100. I figure he is trying to unload some tools because there isnt a big market around me for second hand tools

Pawn shops have been one of the main sources of used professional grade tools for me; I have gotten most all of my air tools (mostly Snap-On) for less then $50 apiece! My latest deal was a Snap-on air ratchet 1/4 drive #FAR25A for $20 (head starting to slip a bit, probably needs a rebuild but works!) and a Snap-On air drill 1/2" CHUCK PDR5A for $30! Many people don't like the Snap-On air tools but I happen to think their air drills are some of the best I have ever used; I have the PDR3A and the PDR5A. With air tools this cheap, I cannot "not" buy these!

One local pawn shop I haven't been able visit yet is right next door to a bail bondsman. My guess is that they share a lot of the same clients.

So far none of the pawn shops have had diddly though. Everything good goes right on ebay.
