Hey folks New here. First Post. This site Rocks!!! Just found it the other night!

Tooks some advice and stopped at a local Pawn shop and grabbed everything I could find USA made.

Picked all this up for 20 bucks plus tax!! All Made in the USA!!
Gonna hit more pawn shops this week !!

Also yesterday I stopped at a garage sale and picked up 20 red devil fishing lures made in USA and a 6 drawer Crafstman tool box (top chest) model number 706.657660. Marked also Made in USA S-2 98. Got all the paint stripped off and am in the process of stripping the drawers. Should be awesome refinish when it's done. I'll post pics later!! Lures were 10 bucks..the Craftsman box was FIVE DOLLARS!!

I'm a shade tree mechanic from the great State of Iowa! Been ripping things apart since 1978!!

I also stopped at Mendards last night and pulled off the shelves all their last Made in the USA Crescent wrenches they had. Gonna give them to my kids someday so they don't have to use the **** from China. international compnants or not..they are still better...have you seen the junk from China!?!

Edit: Second Edit ..they were Vise Grips..not Crescent wrenches.

About the Crescent wrenches...

Start hitting your flea markets and buying up rusted ones for 25 to 50 cents.

Take em home, take em apart and grind em with a Brass wheel and re-lube.... They will be as good as new.

I have so many USA made Cresents it isn't funny. I just can't leave a rusty one behind!! :lol_hitti

Also forgot to add this little tid-bit!!

Tomorrow I'm gonna pick up an old Wilton 5 " Machinist Vise from a guy for 40 bucks!

I'm as giddy as a little girl right now.

Sometimes people don't know what they are sitting on! Gotta love Craigslist!

the yellow jacket square wrench thingy is known as a refrigeration wrench. Used for opening service valves on commercial refrigeration and industrial a/c system's. just thought you would like to know. Also used to tighten/loosen square grub screws on smaller blower wheels.retail for about $20

I also wanted to say welcome to the site. Theres lots of different people with different speciltes around here. You will find several of the users are truck brand tool dealers. Lots of welders, mechinics, weekend warriors, farmers, etc. Theres alot of people and if you have any questions usally someone can get you a awnser pretty quik. Enjoy the site and welcome.
