Go directly to paypal and look at the bottom of the main page. They have a specials box, which links to this promotion.

I looked at a couple of other sites, and there was one in December, through the same company.

They did this in December and it worked for me, I got $20 from that promotion added into my account. One thing to realize is shipping does not count towards the $30 and the money will not be added to the sale, it will be deposited in a month or two.

Still a great deal

Not to jack this thread but....

What do we think the best bang for our buck is now that we've go to spend $30, but are in fact only spending 15??

Hmmm:headscrat

Your still spending $30. No two ways around that.
Do you have any particular tools your looking for? I look at it, as buy one now, get another one later.

From reading the fine print, you have to spend $30 or more on 1 purchase, before shipping, between the dates listed. Then paypal will put $15 in your account before the end of May 2007. If you don't spend 30+, no 15.

So, I'm thinking you get a $30+ purchase with 15 bucks back right?
I'm just sort of wondering what other people are planning on spending their bucks on!

PayPal is temporarily offering $15 discount off a minimum $30 purchase. Should be pretty easy to do with any tool purchase. The only thing you have to do is register for it, provided you have a PayPal account. :p :p

Thanks for the tip....

I wonder if this is for any one "single" item at $30 or more or as long as the whole order from "one" place is over $30 not including postage. I am sure I can build an order over $30 from one place on one order but right now I can't think of one item over $30 that I need (or can afford <grin>)

Here is what they state.

"Single Purchase. Once registered for this offer, you must use your PayPal account to spend at least $30.00 USD or $34.50 CAD on a single purchase on an eligible website."

Here's what it told me:

"If you did not receive an email invitation for this offer directly from PayPal, you are not eligible to participate."

That's BS. Did ANYONE receive the email??
They must have changed the rules, back on 2/10 I simply registered without problem or need for e-mail. I ended up getting a set of like new SnapOn 1/4 deep sockets for $40 after rebate.

Yea, that's what I'm wondering. I don't know if I received the email, but this deal was ON THE HOME PAGE. Why would they put something on the home page if it's only good for "some people". I also noticed it's not on the home page now.

Something did change from what I can tell.

Did you receive the "rebate" already?

I do not think I will receive the rebate from Paypal until April but I pay Paypal with a credit card so I am not worried.

I don't know anything about a email; if you log into you PayPal account, right on the main page, is the sign up for the rebate ... :)

Yep, they took it out; guess it really was a limited offer .. :(

My guess is there was a flood of entries, then they removed the general user entry point and changed the limitation so only people who received some sort of email about the offer are eligible.

Think about it. $15 on a $30 purchase. $15 x 1 million people = $$$$$$$

Why put a link on the home page to the deal and then limit it to people who only received the email? Makes no sense other than what I just explained above.

I'm going to cancel my PayPal account since I am not eligible for the free give away. I think that they are discriminating against me because I post on these forums.

I did not receive the email but did see the link on paypal web site a couple weeks back. I did sign up.

I wonder if they plan on honoring those that signed up? If I buy something and they do not give me $15 back, I would be POed.

I have emailed Paypal to see what they say.

By the way... Anyone remember what date is the latest I can buy an item and they give $15 back? All I remember was March but what day?

Even though I signed up on their web site before, I just re-read the fine print. "You are only eligible for this offer if you receive this offer in an email sent to you directly from PayPal." So, I am glad I read this as it appears I would never get the $15 back even though I did sign up on their web site and it accepted my signing up.

Hmmm

I signed up for the PayPal discount from their web site when it was first release; I was wondering when I would get my $15 so I wrote PayPal and got this response:

Dear "ImportTuner",

Thank you for contacting PayPal. It is our intention to reply to our
customers within 24 hours. However, due to an increase in email volume,
our response time has been delayed and we are diligently working to reply
to each email received.

The Cash Rebate will be deposited into the participants' PayPal
accounts by May 1, 2007. Limit one registration and one $15 rebate per person and/or PayPal account.

The following transactions are excluded from this Cash Rebate offer:
Send Money transactions, payments to Personal accounts, eBay payments made to Personal accounts, donations, Text to Buy and payments for services.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us
again.

Sincerely,
Carlos

Guys. I just read the terms again and it looks like they changed the verbage:

"Registration. You must first register for this offer on http://paypal.promotionexpert.com/greatshopping/signup/index.html using your PayPal account's primary email address. You are only eligible for this offer if you receive this offer in an email sent to you directly from PayPal or if you registered for this offer between 2/8/07 and 2/15/07 2pm EST. "

Still haven't received my $15... or my sawzall blades, damnit!

Received mine today. Too bad it was not used for a tool purchase. In fact, I forget if I had spent the required $30 or not. I have several purchased that together were more than the $30 so that must of did it.
