So it is time to replace my old and decrepit craftsman screwdriver set. I know that many gj members will say go with Snap-On, but I don't like their new screwdrivers and don't want to pay a fortune for their old hard handle ones. So, I have narrowed down my decision between Wera and PB Swiss. I have used both and really like each one, which makes the decision hard. Can't buy both (can barely afford one), so which would would you choose?

I chose PB Swiss and love them. However it's really personal preference.

You don't need to rule out Snap on hard handles. If you don't mind the Williams name on them they're readily available and pretty reasonably priced.

In my opinion, Wera manufactures some of the best quality screwdrivers for the price.

Since your budget is tight, I would suggest Wera. They are the best value out there.

What do the Weras sell for? Anyone have a link where I can order some? I have multiple sets of Snappys. Curious what this Wera stuff is all about. Sure I can do a search, but a bit lazy at the moment.

Considering you have used and like both, buy which ever is cheaper and eaiser to get.....for the record I chose wera, because a local supplier carries them and I got the 900 series (chiseldriver) for $40 cdn. And they are great.

I still want to try PB Swiss though.

Also don't forget that chads will meet any legit price and then they will give you 15% off wera only if you have them use the "testthebest" code and if the code doesn't work tell them in the text when you place the order and they will give it to you.

Also see if you can get one of these as well.

Bought myself a PB swiss phillip screwdriver for the hell of it. I like it infinitely many times more than my hard handle Snap On screwdrivers. In fact, when a buddy needs to borrow a screwdriver, I give him the Snap On. The PB stays with me!!

PB SwissGrip would be my top choice, but the Weras are also great and a better value, if you're trying to keep price down.
