PB Swiss Phillips Handle Sizes

So in my meaningless journey to find my perfect Phillips Screwdriver, I've got my first two PB Swiss PH2 screwdrivers...

The Classic handle PB190.2-100/6 and the Swissgrip handle PB 8190.2-100/6

As everyone has already said, the fit of the tip is great.
But unfortunately the handles are on the small side.
I've measured the Swissgrip to be about 29mm and the Classic to be even smaller at about 23.5mm.

For clean jobs, as in Electronics/IT hardware, 23.5mm is not an issue.
But going to my motorcycle it sometimes becomes a bit of a problem.

PB Swiss also have a SwissGrip screwdriver, with hexagonal wrench section and going-through blade PB 8193.DN 2-100.

Looking at the images, it seems that it has a wider handle.

I'd like to find out what is the Handle diameter of this driver, before I purchase another PH2.

All in all, it would be good if we could make a table with the PH1 and PH2 handle sizes of:

1)Classic
2)Multicraft
2)Swissgrip
3)Swissgrip Through Blade

since this info is not included in the PB Swiss website.

Thanks in advance !

I can help you a bit, although we have to “mix and match” as I don’t have Phillips drivers with all those handles.

I do have Pozidriv’s, and as can be seen below the Multicraft handle is slightly bigger than the Classic, in the same PZ2.

I only have the Swissgrip in Torx Plus, so I have found a standard Torx driver with the same size handle as the PZ2 (T25) and compared it with a Torx Plus 25. As can be seen, they are exactly the same size.

The Swissgrip is effectively the same handle but in a softer material, and with a plastic cap.

I don’t believe that the heavy duty Swissgrip are any different, other than having the through shank, and I think being made of a hard material.

I had a look in my paper catalogue (2016 so quite out of date now)
It's doesn't list handle diameters or the exact driver model you are after but the PB 8193.D 2-100 is listed with a 7mm dia shank and a 10mm hex bolster, blade 100mm overall length 210mm, so you could probably have a decent go at at guesstimating off the photo.

I have a pretty full set of PBSwiss screw drivers. The Swiss grip handles are the best I’ve found. Haven’t measured them but I think the Wera grips are a bit wider but those are not as comfortable as the Swiss Grip. I don’t own the Swiss Grip with the bolsters but believe they are the same proportional sizes as PBSwiss changes handle size in relation to screwdriver size.

I can’t comment on PB drivers since I’ve never tried any. But my favorite #2 is the wera laser tip knocks everything I’ve previously tried into the dirt.

Here is the multicraft handle ( which is the same size as the swiss grip) next to the hex bolster swiss grip.

PH2 will always cam out no matter what screwdriver you have. I have found out that you can get more force towards the screw with ball grip screwdrivers. Wera, Vessel and Anex makes decent ones, I personally have the Wera IMG_2604.jpeg

There’s a new pb swiss swissgrip evo handles that may suit you better than the old ones:
