Pbr metal roof

Thinking about using a PBR metal roof on 1:20 pitch. This is to flat by manufacturer standards for PBR but less expensive than standing seam and easier to install. What I was considering was using wood block spacers under the ribs where fasteners are placed with "NO FASTENERS" in the valleys. Any one have any thoughts on this? Wood blocks would be installed via 3M tape at pre drilled hole locations in the PBR panel.

I am installing PBR metal now. Honestly, I really don't think the wood blocks would be nessecary, The profile is strong enough that I don't think you will crush it on installation. I screwded a transistion piece and screwded it to the peaks and found no crushing taking place.

I didn't think that the aluminum would be thick enough to make a roof out of... How would you stitch the flattened cans together?
