I liked the story about the iconic Mercury custom. The .pdf worked for me. It looks like it was a scan from a Royal typewriter-produced document.

Downloaded and opened ok for me on my iPad Pro. Txvwnut, if using Safari, look for a down arrow in a circle at the top of your browser just to the left of the share button, and right of the URL block.
