My daughter bought me a foot switch as a gift. Great kid:beer:
The connector to feed equipment is not standard. Must be for some specific type of equipment.
Is there a power bar out there that I could feed into and use for more than one tool at a time? Then just move the pedal.
Or do I just cut it off and replace with a female connector? That seems like a bit of a waste.

Just did some digging. It appears similar to an Amazon product-Excalibur Scroll Saw Foot Switch/Pedal- Fits EX-16 & EX-21
Jagmandave. So not a sewing machine but a scroll saw.
Looking for an adapter or some kind of power bar. Or just cut it off and make my own 4x4 4 plug power box.
Cobbler the size of the cord won’t fit but similar.

that's a part of IEC 60320. specifically, it's a C13. the female version is C14.

find a IEC 60302 C14 x NEMA 5-15R adapter.

maybe like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GX7128D/?tag=atomicindus08-20

more options: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GX7128D/?tag=atomicindus08-20

not sure i understand what you want to do with a power bar, but that should be enough info to help you get rolling i think.

just watch out for cable length and keep in mind the wire gauge and current ratings for all the bits of your setup. wouldn't want it to get too hot with a higher current tool, you know?

also, try to focus on the subject next time instead of the bg ;)

I'd recommend using the foot switch as a signaling device that energizes a coil (milliamp requirements) and use a relay-type device to switch the motor on and off. Very few foot switches have the contacts rated for motor starting, and while it will work for a bit, eventually the thermal overload catches up.

A relay or contactor will already have the HD contacts needed, its just a bit more wiring but you'll end up with a long life satisfactory result that doesn't need to be fiddled with in the middle of every other project.

Pizza. Thanks those adapters will get me going in the right direction. Probably better than There Goes My Baby – Usherjust hacking off the end.

Matt. I looked on a similar foot switch and it stated it should be up to a 15 amp draw. Can you show me an example of relay/contractor assembly.
