I recently purchased 2 boxes of peel and stick VCT to use as a idea as to how it would look on my garage floor , hoping it would help me make a final decision .
Any how , the installation instructions say not to install on a radiant floor ?
I thought of all types of floors that would be ideal ?

Anyone ever hear this before ?

How warm are you running your floor? Floor sensor?

When I want my garage at 60 degrees, the floor is less than 65.

Don't think that us going to soften any adhesive.

Unless you are running your radiant over 100, I think this is a made up concern...

That is my thinking as well. As long as the floor doesn't get hotter than about 72 degrees, why would it matter?

I have peel and stick tile in one area of my shop that is the display space for my microcars, the floor is heated and the thermostat is set at 60. The tile has been down for four years and I do not have a problem with the adhesive or the tile curling. One thing I do not like is that the tile shows tire marks bad, it is no wax tile but I even coated it with industrial grade wax to try to stop the tire marks.
No luck. I plan to change the tile to VCT or maybe Race Deck if it can be cut and trimmed in an arc pattern along the leading edge.

Not to hijack but any chance you can post a picture of the microcar area? Just cuz I like micro cars and didn't see one in your album. *although I dug the car in the cubbyhole up near the ceiling!*

Glad you liked my wall hanger Messerschmitt. It is actually a real car that someone cut off, I bought it and mounted it in my shop.
I am not sure what album you saw, I thought there were pictures of my two Messerschmitt's in the shop album. Anyhow here is a picture from the album.
I have restored quite a few of these, my own and for other owners.

I bought just enough tiles to see what they would look like ( the elcheapo ones). Made in China. The box clearly says do not use on radiant floor heat .
I check armstrongs pel and stick ( no such warning ) so I suspect it the cheap tile that's the problem . The cheap stuff is Nexus tile.
