Anyone have a bunch of peg board hooks that aren't being used, before I go the eBay route? I'm interested in heavier duty stuff. Shorter posts are better for me than the long stuff; I don't intend to hang more than one tool per hook. Let me know what you have!

Hey man, My Whole garage has pegboard and I did'nt like the price of the metal hooks so I ordered 200+ from wallpegstore.com, I think you get 50 L-style and 50 J-style for $18.99, I've never had one fail. I also like the bigger L style they sell. Another good site if you prefer the metal route is diamondlifegear.com, I think there's are on sale right now. Both of them are great and diamondlifes customer service blows the roof off of anyone else I have dealt with. Just my .02 cents but I hope it helps. Not sure how it stacks up against ebay.
Both companies had prompt shipping too.

BTW- if your nervous using plastic ones for HD stuff I would'nt worry too much, I hung the tailgate of one of my old trucks by the cables using only two of the J-hooks.

Dave,
The wallpeg stuff is good advice for 1/4" pegboard.
We did my sons whole shop with it last year and it is cheap, strong, made in USA and excellent pro quality stuff.
He has lots & lots of heavy tools hung on it with no issues.
Many hook variations for most anything you will mount.
Nice folks to deal with too.

Wow, great recs! I never, ever would have considered plastic, but those USA-made ones from wallpegstore.com look good, and based on your recs I am not afraid that they are junk. I think I am going to try them.

Let us know how they work out for you, if you don't like them I'm running low and would be willing to get rid of them for a a-hem...."Sizable Discount..." Just kidding, hope they work out.
