I've seen set-ups like these in many farm shops. They are great for larger tools and probably most effective in larger shops (60 x 80 or larger). Very useful when working on complex equipment requiring many types of tools.

Not a bad idea, could be useful for certain situations......

I don't know why he left it bare wood, a little paint would've shown some pride in the project and looked so much better. IMHO :)

Paint with outlines for each of the tools.....

Interesting idea would be a wall cabinet with many layers of the peg boards on pull out extensions, or make the wall side fixed and put two big half size "doors" on the front so everything is accessible when open, and locked up when closed (one of the guys here did that on his tool box).

I am putting up a few sections of peg board very soon, but mostly for some larger tools, not sockets etc. and mounting to the back of some storage shelves that stand in the middle of my garage.
