Pelicase Toolbox 0450

OK,

just aquired a Pelicase toolbox 0450.

Neat, looking for that thing since a couple of months. And now the box showed up on craigslist -- and was mine after a short haggling.

Arrived, decent conditions. Only the two rolls need to be repalced and two latches. No big deal there.

but, the overall case on the outside (and the drawers) look not yet to my liking. It's polypropylen, so should be easy to beef it up -- Goal is to get it close to new (or modest stationary use) condition.

Has anyone already had such a project and would be willing to share his expertise? Treating it with modest heat with a heat gun is lurking somewhere in my brain ...

let's stay with 150 ... IMHO worth the money.

Now I need to find a nice "Shadow Foam" / Kaizen Foam base, my Laser then comes into the game for new inlays on the drawers. Unfortunately in the current setup I need to separate (2 parts) the foam, can only handle 40x40cm, not the needed 5? x 25.5cm ...

probably I'll have a 1st Run with the current laser setup, see how my setup then proofs, and then do a propper 2nd version with enhanced axis on the laser. Or I'll use the CNC.

we'll see - now first is the optical aspect a topic.

The permanent setup will be on a "moveable base" below, but with realestate, a couple of cars and some relatives that "need a hand" in the background moving the box to then renovations there in the flat(s) will be helpful.

Moveable bases are sized 80x60cm (top plate at 90cm normally), half of a EuroPalette. My standard sizing for all the goods /machinery in the garage ... The trailer(s) can handle it, have fixed mountpoints on the bottom to have secure (strapped down) transport when needed.

and: This size fits also verry well inside to a Vanagon
