Any suggestions on a 4" vent kit for a multi-fuel furnace? Just picked up a St Croix SCF 050 but it didn't have any vent parts.

I've got two St. Croix stoves, good choice! The first one I hooked up with Simpson Duravent and the second, Selkirk. In the end, both worked fine. The Selkirk was a little easier to install but I don't like the clean out tee as much as the Duravent. Duravent thimble is better looking. Overall the Selkirk quality, the fitment mostly, is a little better.

If I had to to a third, I'd buy which ever is cheapest.

One differentiator is the clearance to combustibles, iirc the Selkirk can be closer. If you're feeding it through a tight spot that may matter.

Duravent has lasted on mine for 15 years. Only had to replace the clean out cap. I sure wish they made the T into an x so I can clean up to the pellet stove without moving it

You'll be happy with it. If this is your first time installing the pellet vent, study up a bit on the instructions. Go heavy on the RTV. Seal all the joints on elbows and tees. Stretchy self fusing silicone tape works great on the outside of the joints to seal small leaks after the fact. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. I spent all last night researching both brands and noticed by reading the installation instructions, it clarified some questions I had that I couldn't find elsewhere. Matter of fact, it doesn't say much on silicone caulk on anything other than the adapter piece. And yes, this is my first installing any type of vent as well as any type of non-gas heating device too.
