What are the pros and cons of owning each? Trying to decide which would be better for my application. Going to be used as a secondary/backup heat in the house. TIA

Pellet stove vs. coal stove?

Pellet. After useing coal/wood in the house and shop since the early 1970's,believe me when I say that.Now we were useing it as the main heat source,but even as make up the dirt and smoke on the walls and ceilings wont be acceptable. You wont notice it at first,but after a year or two it will really stand out!
