Nice score. They really light up your work nicely.
Looks like the one my old dentist used before he retired.
That takes a very specialized bulb, doesn’t it?

The lamps are available on Amazon. They're tiny and they look like a very specific size. If you're thinking of retrofitting it to some other light source, you might also have to find a different lamp holder. Also, I'd suggest checking on how it converts 120V into 25V for the lamp. If there's some sort of ballast or transformer in there, then maybe you can check to see if those are available as well. Do you know if it works?

Castle was a brand I often saw on the nameplate of equipment when sitting in the dentist's chair in the 1950's/'60's. A kid down the block was part of the Castle family.

I have a round florescent medical magnifying lamp I bought at a thrift shop years ago. It's on wheels. I use it to do mechanical inspections of parts I'm working on.

When I worked in a hospital years ago I was able to score an O.R. lamp, one of those huge round ones with multiple reflectors/bulbs, and a translucent glass lens. It got turned into a coffee table, with colored lamp bulbs.

Castle was the brand we used in dental school. Michigan, 1959-1963. Pelton Light Fantastic put them on the back shelf. Those OR lamps generated a fair amount of heat.

I `m thinking about re wiring the entire thing to 110 with a cord .
The only prob will be finding a LED bulb that would work in the existing socket or something close?

I'm skeptical that one exists, but with the internet, you never know. Most likely you'll have to fix a new lampholder in there. There's lots of solutions if you have something to mount to.
