Actually, this is no surprise. There are heavy hitter Porter Cable woodworking collectors out there who know the back story on this particular pencil sharpener. The alleged story is that there are only two known examples to exist. The other one is owned by **** Jarmon, who I'm unsure is still with us.

Just joking but for $3250 you could spend some time replicating! 3D print, sand blast for texture, thick black paint and find some old screws. Oh yeah, do up a copy of the tattered label. Depending on the 2nd highest bidder's needs a replica might do the job and cost less.

Note: I said replica NOT counterfeit which would be a swindle.
