and can you supply my the msds hazards from using such a mix, i know acetone is some nasty stuff, and mixing chemicals with other things can cause reactions. is it dangerous??? and how, i like doing things the way i feel necessary, but, my skin usually reacts to everything i touch, such as volatile chemicals, so any dangers with that stuff such as what it can do to skin, or rubber gloves(i made a mix of something once that melted rubber gloves).
maybe im blowing this out of proportion, but just like to be on the safe side.

My understanding is that acetone is actually safer than many other solvents due to the speed it evaporates at. Someone who spent a large part of their life spraying, and had health problems from it, said the slower evaporating solvents such as lacquer thinner were more toxic to humans. I actually use acetone for poison ivy. I wipe the rash down once or twice and it clears up far quicker than with calamine lotion or hydrocortisone cream.

For those asking about where to get Kroil, I got a solicitation from them in today's mail. They have a special deal right now--they are offering two 16.5 oz. cans of "SiliKroil" (Kroil with silicone) for $18.50 plus shipping. There is a phone number, but it looks like you have to use the paper order form to get it. I can fax it to anyone who wants it. :)

I was always a fan of PB blaster, but I have found freeze off to be the best.

I mixed some ATF/acetone last month. It will not mix. its like oil and water. Shaking it up kinda mixes it but it separates back out in minutes. Also the acetone evaporates so fast that it barely has time to penetrate anything before all thats left is the ATF.

Seems your better off just using straight ATF.

Screw acetone. I use 50/50 diesel fuel and synthetic ATF. Freed my bound up Kubota tractor seat right up!

i worked at a place that had cans of this cherry smelling stuff, which eventually started to get to me, but the mechanics loved this stuff

it was labeled kimball midwest, but thats a supply company not the brand of the stuff in the can

We got a case to try. It smells like strawberry starburst, we called it bubble gum. Kinda weird stuff, worked great are loosening stuff up. I used on stuff like sticky foot petals in skidsteers, worked like a million bucks at loosening them. However the stuff had absolutly no lubricating capabilities are. Spray on a squeaky wheel, still squeak.

Speaking of Kroil... got their newsletter in the mail today for a B1G1 on the Sili-Kroil... Aerokroil with Silicone in it as well, anyone try it yet?

Sorry, no online coupon code printed, hopefully there is one... don't think I've mail ordered anything in over a decade.
