I was having a great morning about 10 am i went to point pleasant and in 1 of there gallery's i found ALOT of goodies

12 pieces of plomb wrenches 7mm-18mm all 11 peices $,75 a peice a snap on mens jewelry box in PERFECT condition $10, 5 snap on hard handles $1 a peice and a set of 5 unopened gear wrench flexheads for $7

i brought everything up to th counter and the lady told me she'ld hold them while i went back to look i picked up a set of craftsman drill bit s and asked for a price and my stuff was gone i asked awaht happened she goes oh he wansn't with you. i was so mad i just left.

i REALLY wanted the box too,

Get your stuff; pay right away! Dang! It wouldn't be the first time; stuff walks away! I've been at flea markets; I am looking at something, people reach in front of me and take it! People can be really aggressive; if you want something, get the item in your hands, take possession and pay for it fast, if you can! Many times I take stuff back to my car and then keep going.... sorry about your loss! Buying used tools can be brutal!

totally off topic as far as tools but my parents owned a store a few years ago and they were licenced dealers for (TY) beanie babies.....we had WOMEN fight in our store over stuffed animals! LOL...they would follow the UPS guy in when he was delivering cases of them!!!! crazy people!

Are you totally certain? A near complete set of metric Plomb? The words "Plomb" and "Metric" are virtually exclusive. Do you mean Proto, by chance?

Just the other day I found 12 plomb wrenches, snap on jewelery box, 5 SO hard handles, and some Gearwrench flexheads. Dropped just over $30.

Lady kept calling me Jay. Weird. I didn't care though. I just told her she could call me whatever she wanted, as long as I got to leave with those hard handles

Sometimes the dirty old man comes out in me. I guess another one could be "money's on the dresser".

It does **** when someone steals your finds. I keep having the problem of sellers not knowing what they have so I have to ask exactly what it is and while I'm waiting for them to answer someone says I'll take it without knowing exactly what it is.

When you find the mother lode and everyone and their brother now crowd around you and start getting in your personal space bumping against your shoulders and sifting through the tool bins right on top of you.

That and being behind someone who doesn't know **** about tools blocking you from looking and getting something and you know they aren't going to buy anything.... and you can see some shiny snap on sockets waiting in there.... Oh the anticipation..

Like finding an old Bonney in with the chi com **** bin and instantly grabbing it because you know what it is and he notices and offers to take it to the counter for you so he can do a quick Internet search and try jacking up the price. Pretty common around here.

At pawns, fleas, garage sales, anywhere, I never, ever let the seller see what I'm picking until I'm ready to negotiate/buy. For exactly this reason -- if they wanted to know what that was worth, they had time to look before they put it out on the floor. And I don't need to give them more time to do the math.

I'll make piles on the floor and nudge them along, and I've been known to use my shirt as a bin for sockets.

I don't purposefully hide things but I have bought some "****" to lower the overall appearance of the pile. The workers rarely want to dig through rusty wrenches and sockets.

it's the antique store in point on arnold ave the ones where everyone BRINGS WHAT they have often have tools. e3specially convienient to know that most of these places have people bringing garage sale leftovers.

on the other side of that coin try vics attic treasures in bayville they ALWAYS have tools and nobody knows about them yet
