Thought I'd take a sec to clue you guys into an awesome notebook I've been using for a while now. They're getting kind of hard to find though, so go buy some and light a fire under their *** to get more made available lol.
Anyways, each page has a grid on one side and journal style lines on the other with date & title. Which for me, is awesome. I sketch designs on grid paper but always felt like the notes were out of place. In this case, its perfect. Especially if you ever want to go back and remake something or perhaps share it with someone else. If you label everything and give yourself a clean drawing w/ detailed notes these are absolutely awesome. I have 3 of these notebooks, one for making/fabbing/woodworking. One for circuit design. And a 4x6 I keep in my bag for work if I need to jot down an idea or for anything really. Well worth the money.

CVS sells them as well. Not sure where else to find them. I havent been able to find the 4x6 size anywhere, unfortunately. Got mine at Walmart originally, but looks like they've quit carrying the Blue Sky branded notebooks. In my area, at least, maybe you'll have better luck?
