After very low hour use on a Menards performax router....... it's dead. It's out of the 2 year warranty Looks like after testing it melted the solder joint on the board for speed control. Called Performax and they're telling me they don't have the part in stock and 3 weeks. Told me to call back in 3 weeks, wouldn't sell it to me ahead of time.. $18. Worth fixing? Anyway to rewire to skip the speed control? ( Just for reference...red wire to blue wire makes the garage lights flicker 
) Or recommendations on a HARD use COMPACT router
