Snap on 3/4 drive ratchet L72-N: Approximate age?

See the 4 in between the on/off, that is a symbol for 1934. An early model for sure. Snap on date codes most everything. Sometimes stuff doesn't have a symbol though. Look on the ratcheting adapter for a symbol. I would guess late 30's or 40's

Superb, thanks. I had seen the 4 but wasn't sure what it meant. I'll put a matching socket on it and throw it in the cab of my 34' Chevy!

I didn't see a date number on the ratchet adapter but I started looking over some of the other antique snap on tools and started seeing 7's, 9's and 1's. I must assume all these are pre war being they all came from two WWII Navy Engine Room mechanics, my neighbor brings me over all kinds of this stuff when he's out in the shed cleaning stuff up and I got a lot of from my grandfather's estate after he passed.
