They're legit. Been around a long time. Used to do hybrid trusses for pole barns, now offer building packages.

I have a friend in the outskirts of Kansas City that put one up about 10 years ago and he has been happy with it.

I also asked one of the most trusted local contracters about them when he was putting a pitched roof on my commercial building last year, and he says he's out up a bunch of Perkas.
He told me the farmers around here love em because they go up quick and have a ton of room (clear span) for their equipment.

That was enough for me, so I am now in the process of saving up funds to put one of their buildings behind my house. I am going with the biggest my city will allow, a 36x48 and have around 20k saved up right now, but my yard has a good slope to it so I know my biggest expense is going to be the grading and concrete work.

I am going to get some bids soon on my concrete work so I can figure out how much more I need to save & budget for my build.

I'm in the TOpeka Kansas area.

I have been very pleased with the Perka Building I purchased 15 years ago. It is a 40'x64' with 12' walls and a 4/12 pitch roof. It had no problem handling 20" of heavy wet snow this winter that collapsed several garages near me.

I had it designed with a double frame to support an I-beam with two trollies and one ton chain hoists. Three of us erected it in about a week. My trusses weighed about 900# each so a fork lift was used to set them in place.

Perka delivered the frame as promised and I would not hesitate to recommend them highly.

I got a quote from them. It was actually one of the best prices I got. I didn't go with them because I have been footing the bill as I go.

With them or any other package deal, you have to purchase the most of it up front.

Here is an old pic I found of my Perka going up. I opted for straight sidewalks because I'm finishing inside off and didn't want any trusses exposed. Basically the advantages of a pole barn but with cathedral ceiling.

Here is another manufacturer that offers the same style building. Open web truss design, lots of smaller aircraft hangars are built with these too.

Miracle truss used to offer a similar product, where they provide the steel web trusses and you added 2x6 girts and perlins

Yes that's how Perka did it, I bought only frames/trusses from them and we added ends and perlins ourselves. They had all clips welded on top and bottom of trusses to attach perlins. I would definetly use them again due to the fact I don't know of many other buildings that would allow me to have an attic with a cathedral ceiling
