I purchased a wall model Hale pet door ( http://www.halepetdoor.com/products/6 ) for installing on my new pole building. I'm looking for a recommended way to install this in consideration of the ribs in the metal siding? I want it to be weather tight around the frame. The interior of the pole barn hasn't been finished yet. I plan to frame up walls so they are flush with the inside face of 6x6 posts and then install 1/2 drywall all around. Until I get around to doing so, for the dog door, I will just frame up the rough opening and and use a 1/2 spacer in the meantime. Would appreciate your thoughts and recommendations.
