So I have been lead into the world of expansion pex lately. I bought an outdoor freezeless hot/cold faucet for our house and was bummed when I went to install it and found PEX A instead of PEX B ******* on it.
So, I bought a manual expander set which worked OK but was a pain to work in the joist spaces. I also didn't notice that when I was rotating the tool the head wasn't rotating in the pipe so I had to redo the project a couple of times.
I'd seen plenty of video shorts of PEX expanders but never really needed one. But now, I can justify a new tool purchase. I'm pretty cheap so instead of new I picked up an auction lot that has a Wirsbo 100 14.4V expander, a Milwaukee M12 expander, a Milwaukee copper tubing cutter and a Wirsbo manual expander tool that I got reasonably when you consider everything in the package.
I thought I read somewhere that the Milwaukee tools will use the Wirsbo heads but I wasn't quite sure. It would make sense why these were in the same auction lot. Is there a definitive list of what heads interchange between the manufacturers?
