I was looking at some PEX for plumbing and saw that a few mfg have PEX with a working pressure of 200psi. Relatively cheap easy to run and though why not for airlines. I am only going to run up to 125psi from the compressor and wondered if anyone has tried this yet. I have a plumber frend that told me the bursting strenth is above 500psi.

A friend of mine who is a plumber uses it for air lines *non comercial* just for people who want some air lines in thier garages, he has all the crimpers for the fittings though, they are not cheap. But you can rent the crimpers from some home centers. Its better than pvc because it wont explode like pvc can. I know it can hold the pressure because we test for leaks on house that have been piped with pex with an air compressor before we run water to it.
