Pex in floor heating

I had this idea. Do you think it is possible? Can I run Pex tubing for my bathroom floor radiant heat and directly out to the tub and shower hot side? My theory is...after taking a hot shower/bath, the bathroom floor should be warm. Has anyone done a setup like this before?

that would work great until it got clogged up with hair and other assorted junk .. then you be screwed

there are many aspects that go into radiant floor heat, ie temp, flow, etc.... Dont think you would get much heat if any in the 10 minutes you were in shower...

I think he means that the fresh hot water will go through the floor heat tubing and them out to the fixtures for use.

Ok so a short shower probably not make the floor warm. But what about a longer shower?

And waste the water.

You would end up with a long wait for hot water due to the much longer supply piping.

You will end up with cooler water since it would be giving up heat to the floor, this might require you to increase the temp of the hot water to compensate.

Using potable water for space heating may be a code violation depending on area and possibly the exact application.

It can take hours for an infloor system to bring the floor temp up.

I would think that your Hot supply line would have to so so long (back and forth) under the floor that you would not receive to much hot water at the shower.
