Pex stapled to foam board???

Hey guys, I'm getting ready to pour concrete in my barn next week. I was wondering if it's ok to attach the pex directly to the foam board using the staple gun and then put wire down or if I should put wire down and then attach the pex with zip ties. I'm pouring 6" of concrete and would like to saw cut the control joints in the concrete. Is there any draw back to using the staple method?

Thanks in advance.

Steve

run your salamander or whatever you have for heat and get it nice and hot so the pex bends easy .. ive had issues with the pex pulling staples out it the cold

Foam, then pex, then mesh is ideal. I wish I had done it that way. The pex holds the mesh up into the concrete where it will do you some good. The downside is that you can't use the mesh to guide your pex layout.

Your sawcuts will only go 1-1.5" into the slab so don't worry about hitting anything. That is, unless your staples aren't good enough.
