I bought the blue ridge pole barn pex and manifold kit. Will be laying pex soon. Is there a good primer on, or can someone show with pictures how the wooden brace for the pex conduit where it comes through the floor should be built? Also where does it go by the wall or boiler? Does it get cast into concrete? Does it hold manifold. Any advice Very Much a
Preciated please. Feeling a bit intimidated by this pex install.

Anytime I've ever encountered it, it just protruded from the slab and up the wall into the manifold. No fancy grommets, or guides... Looks like the concrete just gets filled in around the pipes... Just dont kink it - obviously.

I would suggest using 3/4" conduit 90's to shield the Pex through the floor , no heating contractor would put the Pex in with out them .
Do not allow the concrete to be poured around the risers , I wouldn't. And I do this for a living.

Also keep the Pex a little ways off to the side of your heating equipment , gives you some working room for everything else .
The more room the better.

There are plenty of pic's examples on this heating forum.

There are many ways to do this. First the manifold will get mounted above the location where the pex transitions from the slab to above slab. One company details a plywood box that acts as a form keeping concrete out and allowing the pex to bend up into the manifold. Most installs discussed here use 1" PVC electrical long radius sweeps which protect the pex as it transitions down into the slab. These get clamped to the wall below where the manifold will go. Sometimes these ells also are placed/ secured to formwork to block out the concrete during slab pour and then poured in latter when more time can be spent to get a nice smooth finish around the pex transitions. There are lots of manufacturers web sites that give lots of details. Watts, Viega & Zurn to name a few.

This is what I did.^^^^
I used Unistrut and their insulated clamps to hold the electrical PVC pieces in place for the concrete pour.
I used two pieces of Unistrut, one to hold the PVC pieces in place and one higher up the wall to hold the Pex before it went into the manifold.
I can post pictures later today if you need it.

I used electrical conduit 90* for coming out of the concrete.

Ok, here's the picture of what I did.
I cant take credit for it, I found the info here on GJ.

For size reference the Pex tubing is 5/8, it was a little difficult to get the Pex to go thru the 90's because of the temp in the barn.

I bought the 90's at home depot, McMaster-Carr supplied the Unistrut and the cushioned clamps.
