Pexto 298 circle cutter

I'm trying to replace the dies/cutters on a Pexto model 298 circle cutter. Is there a trick to this? Made a spanner wrench so could use an impact wrench but the cutters won't budge. Tried both directions. Any help would be appreciated. We tried heating it with a propane torch but didn't go crazy with the heat

Not sure if this helps but apparently upper cutter is RH thread and lower cutter is LH thread.

Yes that helps. It reassures me the I'm turning correctly. Boy, these cutters are tight.
