And the winner, by a substantial margin, is the Knipex 61 02 200 nippers. There are a few tool brands in the test that I have never heard of. Interesting that Snap-on was not included in the test.

Knipex Nippers

......Knipex, Milwaukee, Blue-Point, GearWrench, Channellock, Gedore, NWS, Tekton, Barnwell, Wazakura, Bates, Speedwox, Kseibi, Hautmec, WorkPro, American Mutt Tools, Performance Tools, and Irwin. Pliers compared for performance for closeness of flush cut, handle force to cut through nail, screw, and drill bit. Finally, only one brand successfully cut through an hex key.....

Probably not a coincidence they're currently sold out at Amazon's Knipex store, Zoro, JB Tools, and KC Tool.

I got the Knipex nippers a few months ago at Zoro, for $56 (with 20% discount code).

I’ve seen more than one picture of the Knipex high leverage nippers with broken jaws.
I have no clue whether the issue was a batch problem, or whether they nippers were bring used for twisting and pulling fir work like fencing, and the extra jaw hardness caused the jaws to break.
Still impressive performance.
The design is probably 25 years old or more at this point.

Surprise, surprise, surprise as Gomer Pile once said. Who's shocked the Knipex pliers are the best? I've got a damn drawer filled with the damn things. Must be a reason.
