I saw this on the back of a magazine the other day and was just thinking about it so tracked it down on the internet...

Anyone know more about it? Cost? I can see a few areas where it would make sense, but I am thinking it has to be somewhat cost prohibitive...

We're sorry to see you've not received any answers to your questions. We absolutely love the concept and just wish we had been aware of the product so we could at least have investigated it before we undertook our garage project.

Best regards,
Ed and Sandra

I think the bat-cave had one of these as well...

the only issue i see, is you have to almost have a door to your garage in the basement??? I can see it being handy if you had 5 of them and 5 extra cars you wanted to 'hide-away'...

Wow, these ship just north of me a couple miles.

I've seen this concept before on a TV program from England. Some places don't allow a garage so these are installed and they grow grass on the roof. Supposed to be water proof, the ones in England. They are like a big steel shipping container they put into the ground, self contained, just hook up electricity.

You don't need a door to a basement, you wait until it's lifted to get in.

You'd have to have a high lift garage door. Why are they designed to lift two vehicles? In case bottom car wants out and don't want to move top car?

About 5 years ago, I was in NYC building some cell phone sites, in some of the lots where they had taken down buildings from 9/11 they had 4 post drive on lifts on gravel lots and were using them for parking. Cost about $1200/month to park there. One car on the lift and one below would about pay for the lift in the one month.
