I found the most fabulous place that you have got to visit. If you are in the area and have a chance, go see it.

It is the Noble and Cooley Drum Factory in Granville Massachusetts.

What makes it fabulous is this:

1.) In continuous operation since 1954
2.) Family owned, same family, since 1854
4.) Machines run off of line shafts with leather belts
5.) Many machines are in place from where they were put when new
6.) Family still maintains their own machines, pour their own Babbit
bearings etc...
7.) Owner still has all the original forms for all the custom machines

Check out the videos below. Tours are $5 and only on Sunday from 12-3

Joe , is Granville a very hilly area? If memory serves, I've been to the area a few times. It's West of Springfield, right?
