Phillips instant fit T8 led work with T12 fixture

So I just got a bunch of these 4' bulbs cheap. Anyone know what the difference would be make them work in a T12 fixture vs a T8?

Edited my title realized I wasn't clear at all what I was asking.


Phillips instant fit 4' T8 LED. 32 watt replacement bulbs. I have found mixed info about them working in a T12 fixture which is what I have. I got them for 2.50 a piece.

They do not work. Not sure if they need a t8 ballest or if I can rewire them bypassing the ballest. Don't know much about these kind of lights.

They will not work. You need a T8 instant start ballast, such as ICN2P32...
You cannont rewire them by bypassing the ballast.

Thanks for the answer.. I will look into a replacement a ballast or cheap T8 fixtures..

You got them cheap enough but now you will need to buy ballasts to for them. Swapping the ballast isn't a big deal to do.

Bought a cheap ballest at home depot. Swapped it out and it works great.... Way brighter then the T12s. So I swapped a fixture from T12 to LED for $20 not bad.

FWIW,
New ballast has a 5 year warranty. Those lamps have a 5 year warranty as well.
