Phosphate drywall screws

I was leaning towards galvanized. But I’ve got a deal on 1000 of these Restore. Are they gonna rest [edit “rust”] on me in a humid hot cabin environment? Thanks.

Drywall screws get covered with mud and likely millions are installed every year without problem.

If there is enough moisture that rust on screws is a legit concern, the drywall will be covered in mold

phosphate drywall screws have been the normal for decades with no issues . the only time I've seen galvanized screws was when I put up Prova Board in showers and used their fastening system

Don't overthink it, you'll end up making more mistakes, taking longer and spending more money in the end

we just had some DensShield put up in two bathrooms for new surrounds. The drywall company, whom I have used many times and are good people, used the regular 1-1/4" black phosphate drywall screws. That is all I would use. If my back and knees weren't full of arthritis, I would have done it myself. As someone else said - if you have enough moisture to rust them, you have other issues that will bite you too.
