I didn't know what this wrench was for (bought in an auction tool lot). But I like puzzles and it looks classy with its brass and ?rosewood?, has an extendable handle, and an odd shaped business end with an 8 point socket.
No markings found.
A bit of investigation identifies it as a piano tuning wrench. who knew? I don't even have a piano (yet)

I once stumbled onto the estate sale of an organ tuner. And I will say I was quite unimpressed with the tools, but it does strike me that there were several angled head nut drivers there.

bmwrd0, for an impressive collection of piano makers tools, see the Studley tool chest
(I need to find a few more tools, and get some better examples, before I copy this tool chest)

I have a 1/4 hex bit adapter that happens to fit my wife's piano tuning pegs. I offered to tune her piano. It turned into a weekend long project. If it hasn't been tuned in a while you usually need to bring most of the 200+ strings up.

My dad tunes pianos. He has a wrench really similar to that one with a brass and wood handle
