Previously, I had sprayed the pick-n-pluck foam in my Apache cases with PlastiDip. It looked really good but it eventually failed after several years of use. This particular case required some rearranging and repair of the foam. After gluing in pieces of the foam, I used Flex Seal instead of the PlastiDip. The Flex Seal goes on heavier and I believe it will hold up better.

This isn't the best example because of the changes I made in the layout, but it should look awesome on new pick-n-pluck foam. The down side is that its about twice the cost.IMG_5829.JPG

Since you have a layout now, I would just buy the sheets of foam and cut out the pockets with a hot wire. I do think the flex seal will hold up better than plasti dip though.

I get foam from thefoamfactory.com, it's the best deal I've found for gun cases and tool boxes. I like the 1/2" pull apart stuff. Where do you usually get yours?

I almost finished another case. The p-n-p foam was new and did a light coat of Flex Seal. I ran out and will hit it with another coat tomorrow.IMG_5834.JPG
