Hey whatsup gang just picked this up today from the sears store close by my house I returned my 137peice tools set and they gave me store credit. Thats the first time I been in sears for a couple of years and I must admit they got a whole lot of craftsman tools.

Heres what I got
http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_...ame=Mechanics+Tools&sName=Mechanics+Tool+Sets

I think I m going to take your guys advice and get some Craftsman pros next but this 6 point set is set is huge.THe tool set had the sizes etched in them not the laser cut style and the only thing wrong with the set was the deep 1/4 8mm socket wasnt etched at all its just plain jane with no size printed on it. " My first tool set "

It was either this or the 260 peice thats on sale online right now I chose this one let me know what you think, Thanks

I would replace the 6 point wrenches and the ratchets. Use 12 point wrenches (although keep the 6 point for times needed) and sell off the regular ratchets (or see about returning them under the satisfaction guarantee, may have to break them), and get a set of Breaker bars, and either the round head fine tooth (catalog only) or the Thin pro line ratchets.

This is a good set, but for some things (Dodge brakes, Ford driveline) you will need 12 point sockets (can be bought later).
Other then the newer 1/2" drive, 6 point metric and SAE deep sockets, this set is a MUCH better value then the one you had. (and lighter then the 260 piece set).

Hey thanks for the compliment, I saw all the stuff you guys had and I had to get a good starter kit, they did have the 245 peice there too it was on sale for $190.

Like you said my next purchase is going to be some 12 point wrenches, a husky torque wrench(guaranteed for life). other than that Im good for now got to save my money

Oh yeah I do got a breaker bar too just one though. Store credit for the ratchets?

That set has some good staples in it, but you are definitely going to want to take Billy's advice on teh breaker bar... and even the ratchets.

Not a bad score! I like CM wrenches, not to big on their sockets,Soso on their ratchets, you should be OK if you're a weekend warrior.

I hope you got that set for less than $100. I've seen it on sale a few times.

Huh... I'm the opposite. I dig their sockets, not too hot on their wrenches (unless you meant the Cman Pros - I love them) and I don't much care for their ratchets.

The 145 pc 6pt set is great, $90 in the pre xmas sales, and other than the ratchets not a bit of filler.
